THE NEW MYFORD TOUCH TECHNOLOGY ISSUES

Ford is among the names in vehicle manufacturing that is more about legacy, class and America. It presents cars that a common man identifies with. It is nothing short of luxury meant for the very public. Ford has been a name with a reputation and position of its own in the hearts and minds of the people. But then the manufacturer has also done well enough in continuously coming up with a fleet of modern, technologically equipped and yet reasonably priced cars at that.
For the same, now comes one of their latest features, the MyFord Touch.

Ford dealers have also invited customers who have opted for the feature along with a Ford vehicle purchased. This is even as offering them a free tutorial session on the use of the new touch-screen system. There were Consumer Reports which spoke of how the new touch-screen system as provided by Ford is actually complicated in nature. Models like the Ford Edge or Lincoln MKX came equipped with the feature. But then Ford dealers are looking at offering the technology in as much as eighty percent of the vehicles.MyFord Touch comes as an innovative and very much efficient control system that offers customers with control navigation, radio, communication, heating and cooling. All this can again be commanded and controlled in three ways. These would again be 1) A touch-screen, 2) a five-way controller on the steering wheel and 3) voice commands. For once, Ford dealers continue to back this new feature and insist on the customers opting for it.

In spite of the complaints coming in about the difficulty while using the technology, there are still quite a few of admirers who are already swearing by the technology. One such Ford owner, Jim Seavitt, possesses a Village Ford in Dearborn. He speaks of how the technology may be a bit sophisticated and difficult to understand. It is bound to be a big hit with the younger lot who are more tech-savvy for once.
