AT&T re-brands it's Video on demand service

AT&T video on demand will no longer be called with that name again as AT&T has now decided to brand it as U-verse Movies. The decision has been taken to market its Video on Demand service even more and to give it a new face to the people. The decision to kick off this new marketing campaign has come especially after AT&T has realized it is losing large amount of business to Netflix, Redbox and similar other competitors.

The executive director for AT&T's video on demand service now called U-verse movies, John Blinkiewicz explains the advantage U-verse Movies has over competitors like Netflix. He lists some of the main advantage as watching movies in multiple rooms with their multi-room home networking environment, much quicker release dates for new movies than its competitor and in some cases the release date is as much as 30 days before Netflix and red box, HD movies, 3-D movies, free content and absolutely no wait time in loading the streamed content. He also added that there is a growing need for marketing to list their advantage over their competitors and also to let them know about their existence and services. They are also having a competitive advantage to be able to supply these videos on customer’s mobile phone. So the customers can directly stream the movies on the handsets.

He also said that they are constantly in search with adding new movies to the different categories and they are also adding HD and 3D movies. Last year alone they were offering six 3D movies and will be offering more soon.
