CAR PRODUCTION IN THE UK BETTERS BY AS MUCH AS 27%

The year of 2010 was not that bad after all. For in spite of continual inflation, many of the enterprises registered improved sales. New car deals saw a new high even as 1.27 million cars were bought in the UK. This meant a rising figure of a good a 27.1per cent when compared with the year of 2009. This figure was again revealed by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

Another interesting number rise was also visible in Commercial vehicle (CV) production which went up to as much as 35.7 per cent. This was last year and the number touched read 123,019. This is for once a good indication that the recession hit times is slowly but surely fading away.Coming back to cars and new car deals however, the British automobile making industry has seen a surge in demand coming in from foreign countries for British made vehicles. Then of course there is the cut throat competition which can again been seen from the dealers who are doing their bit in enticing and offering irresistible new car deals to the drivers. The UK engine output for the year of 2010 has been a good 2.39 million units. Now comparing this with 2009 the figures have improved a good 16.2 per cent.

As far as car production and new car deals in the month of December was concerned, it was again a good 10.6 per cent higher than for the same period in the year 2009. This apart, CV production went up by as much as 19.4 per cent. This means that on the overall the year of 2010 has been great for the UK car manufacturing industry. This is even as the figures themselves speak volumes of it.2009 had the government's car-scrappage scheme which had taken place in the spring. Although it should have given some boost to the vehicle industry in UK, there was no improved car production seen as such.

There was a good fall of as much as 30.9 per cent in car production compared with the previous year of 2008. When looking at CV production, it went down by as much as a heavy 55.3 per cent.SMMT chief executive Paul Everitt spoke of how in the year of 2010, vehicle production in United Kingdom has seen a very good and impressive recovery being made. This is as compared with the previous year of 2009 which was quite bad.
